When did you begin working here and what were your first impressions? November, 2019. Jeremy and Sid and Pearl were working out of Jeremy and Pearl’s basement, but they were the most ambitious people I’d met. In the year or so I’ve worked with them, they’ve backed up that ambition with action and outcomes. Working with GummyBear comes with high expectations, but the support and chance for growth is phenomenal and I love it!
What are you reading at the moment? ‘Never Split the Difference’ by Chris Voss and ‘The Priory of the Orange Tree’ by Samantha Shannon – a great mix of strategic thinking and pure fantasy!
Do you have any idols? My two best friends Bridget and Karen - both amazing, compassionate and wise women whom I have learned so much from.
A ‘normal’ day at work? LEARNING! It’s the common thread from day to day – learning from my colleagues, learning from our clients. Aside from that, every day brings something new.
What is the most fun about working at Gummybear? The people. We have a great team, and a diverse range of clients.
Do you have any hobbies? Roller skating (I played roller derby for 12 years and now skate parks), reading and hiking.
How does the world look in 2030? What a tough question! The last 12 months have turned any predictions I might have had upside down. I hope that humanity will be more self-aware of their impact on the environs that surround them – on our friends and family, on our communities and cities, and on the planet as a whole.
Favourite quote? “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow! What a ride!’”
Any last words? Coffee. BRING MORE COFFEE.
